The construction technology of steel structure is not important compared with other concrete technology, many design technologies, relatively speaking, materials, theories in the design and research stage is very good to engage in the construction of concrete and other aspects of the construction of the difficulties and problems encountered a little bit more, a lot of aspects to be re-examined to re-understand the situation, especially in recent years, a lot of new structures, the construction of a general in China, there are a lot of new problems in construction. Now the building technology towards a high degree of integration, many industries need a lot of technology, need to be combined, in the current conditions, and energy saving and emission reduction, the environment, this seminar is more from the structural technology, construction and installation, welding and other aspects of the seminar, which is the most basic and fundamental, essentially, throughout the building science, the building environment is far from being these aspects, the steel structure also need to be combined with the building environment.

Han Aixing pointed out that in recent years, the country appeared a lot of strange buildings, more or steel structure buildings, from the mechanics, construction connection welding technology breakthroughs, but also on the society and the environment has a certain impact on the Beijing has a few steel structure projects, there are environmental concepts: people will think that people living in the building to work and live in the building is inappropriate, not only from the environment of the sunshine, wind direction, or the role of the heart is not appropriate. The environment creates people, this is the big premise, can not be changed. According to the introduction, the steel structure construction technology exchange meeting, mainly to summarize the past major projects in the construction process of technical problems experience and lessons learned, discuss the current steel structure project under construction of new materials, manufacturing processes, installation programs, application of technical research, facing new issues and new challenges, and discuss new construction techniques and methods. This conference is held in Guangzhou because Guangzhou has already built and is building a number of international and domestic influential construction steel structure projects, such as the new Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou New TV Tower, Zhujiang New City West Tower, Guangzhou Opera House, Pazhou International Conference Center and so on. Some of these projects not only represent the highest level of architecture in China's construction field and the new space structure of the stadium, but also some of the projects under construction can let the delegates understand more intuitively the design and construction problems of steel structure. It is reported that the first national steel structure construction technology exchange meeting will be held in Beijing in 2006.
